Over the years, there have been many identities of characters who have taken on the name Vigilante. From Greg Saunders, the original Vigilante created by Mort Weisinger and Mort Meskin who appeared in 1941, to Adrian Chase created by Marv Wolfman and George Pérez in 1983, to the more recent incarnation of Dorian Chase who appeared in 2007's Nightwing #133-137 by Marv Wolfman and Jamal Igle. Now DC Comics announces the release of Vigilante: Southland, a new six-issue miniseries written by Gary Phillips and drawn by Elena Casagrande, scheduled for release on 5 October.
