This important painting is organised in three levels: in the lower side there is a pond with some plants and three little houses on the left. In the upper level there are two mighty mountains and, in the upper left corner, there is the title of the painting and the signature of the artist (the painting is dated according to the Chinese sexagesimal system). Yu Bing has become one of the most important painters of her times (Qing, Qianlong and/or Daoguang emperors), thanks to her precise technique and her extraordinary craft in depicting flowers, birds and landscapes. According to some biographical sources, Yun Bing immediately developed a deep love for painting and started to portray the landscape which surrounded her house. Two of her works (Flower Studies) are located in Metropolitan Museum (accession number 1493- 412 - 1/2), while others are on exhibit in Palace Museum, Beijing, and in Shanghai Museum. Others are sold by Christie's and Bonhams. Measures include metal frame.
