Nineteenth-century Florentine landscape painter. He was a student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence from 1822 to 1831. He took part in the academic exhibitions of 1845 and 1848, on the latter occasion presenting the painting entitled "Ferruccio wounded by Maramaldo in Gavinana". In 1851 he participated in the exhibition of the Florentine Promotrice where he exhibited the works "View of the Broken Bridge of Rome" and "View of Naples". In 1854 he again participated in the exhibition of the Florentine Promoter, this time presenting the painting entitled "Piazza di Siena and Siena Cathedral". In the same year he sent four views of Florence and others of Naples, Verona and Venice to the Promotrice of Genoa. Among the painter's best-known works are "Una via di Pozzuoli" (1843), now preserved in the Uffizi, "Portoferraio on the island of Elba" (1843), also in the Uffizi, and "View of the bell tower of the Florence Cathedral ", kept at the Superintendency of the Topographical Museum in Florence.
