Paolo Ambrosio was born in 1938, his artistic work has grown through research that incorporates experience and constant verification with the public, and is divided into successive phases. He has made the economy of means a discipline and a signature. His apparently cold works have a thousand vibrations. In the 1980s, there was an orientation towards color without any particular predilection for it. With Ambrosio's works one could find a distant analogy with Giulio Carlo Argan's analysis of Tobey's activity: "the hand that traces the signs obeys a motor impulse that comes from the depths of the being" an anthropological thrill in the which sign is the actor who lives in autonomy creating depth and light. Ambrosio has chiseled his language over time through trial and error, always indifferent to fashion through constant action in the rejection of style, without virtuosity but being close to his inner world. The canvas, as a living organism, has vibrations in a process of subtraction of the superfluous through rigorously ethical and anti-rhetorical intellectual reasons.
