Silvano Barducci Biography
In 1959, at just 13 years of age, he arrived in the Malatesta tower in Piazza del Popolo in Cesena, in Alberto Sughi's studio, a place of many meetings between painters, sculptors, directors and critics. It is here that he forged his image as a painter. At just sixteen years old he obtained his first public recognition at the "Premio Cassiano Fenati" organized by the Banca Popolare di Romagna. Two years later, in 1964, he was awarded in the painting competition organized by the Provincial Administration of Forlì; two years later he held his first solo exhibition at the Galleria il Portico in Cesena. This is followed by a phase marked by notable exhibition activity in various cities, Bologna, Rome, etc. He moved to Rome, where he met the maestro Marcello Muccini, the poet Sante Pedrelli and many others. In 1977 he exhibited at the Cesena Art Gallery: the solo show was presented with a letter from Alberto Sughi. In 1982 one of his solo exhibitions was held at the Russo Art Gallery in Rome. In 2001 he was present at the exhibition "Painting in Romagna. Aspects and Figures of the Twentieth Century", curated by Claudio Spadoni and promoted by the Banca Popolare Dell'Emilia Romagna.
