Benigno Bossi (Arcisate 1727 - Parma 1792) was a multifaceted Italian artist, specialized in painting, stucco and engraving.
Son of Pietro Luigi Bossi, a famous plasterer active in Saxony, Benigno followed his father to Germany where he learned the art of stucco and collaborated with him. During this period, he became particularly passionate about engraving, especially etching and aquatint.
After the end of the Seven Years' War, Bossi returned to Italy and, after a short stay in Milan, settled in Parma in 1759.
