The following year he interrupted his studies and enlisted in the Air Force where he remained for six years. In 1961, at the age of twenty-three, he was discharged; in the meantime he had married and had three children. For several years he lived a period characterized by restlessness and impatience, carrying out various activities. In 1967 he opened a sculpture workshop, producing his first works. His first solo exhibition, held in Rimini, brought him into contact with the city's artists. In 1969 he participated with Vittorio D'Augusta in a meeting in Pejo where he met new artists including Bruno Munari. In the same year, twinned with the "Centro Operativo Sincron Brescia", directed by Armando Nizzi, it opened its own gallery, "Centro Operativo Sincron Rimini", in which it offered the works of artists such as Bruno Munari, Hans Glattfelder, Jorrit Tornquist to the Rimini public. , Mimmo Paladino, Giovanni Santi Sircana, Giovanni Campus, Gianfranco Zappettini, Vittorio D'Augusta and many others. It was a fruitful period also experienced by student movements. In 1971 he organized "Incontro Sincron 71", a large 'open' collective art exhibition, set up in various outdoor spaces in the city and in the rooms of the Rimini Town Hall, with the participation of dozens of artists from all over Italy. In the seventies he created monumental sculptures in marble and bronze placed in institutes and public buildings in Milan, Ponderano, Desezano sul Garda, Quarto d'Altino, Montegrotta Terme, Lamporecchio di Pistoia, Brescia, Meolo, Mirano, Bari, Savona, Udine, Lusia , San Giorgio di Nogaro, Latisana, Fossò. Between 1971 and 1976 he exhibited in exhibitions and solo shows in Rimini, Bologna, Bergamo, Castellanza, Sassoferrato. In March 1976 his activity as a sculptor came to an abrupt end, he closed the laboratory and, no longer interested in any artistic activity, he dedicated himself first to production, then to computer programming. After forty years, in March 2016, he returned to artistic activity by creating four bas-reliefs made with different materials. Appreciated and encouraged by friends and colleagues, during 2016 he created around forty works, sculptures and bas-reliefs, which were exhibited in the spring of 2017 at the Galleria dell'Immagine in Rimini. In the following two years, until the beginning of 2020, he participated in several collective and solo exhibitions.
