Fulvio Comi Biography
Fulvio Comi was born in Monza on 06.16.1922 and died in his city on 09.12.1999. The love for painting dates back to the age of elementary school and manifests itself in numerous drawings and pastels and some oil paintings. At the ISIA (Higher Institute of Artistic Industries) in the former Villa Reale of Monza he studied under the guidance of Pio Semeghini, Ugo Zovetti, Raffaele De Grada, and in 1942 he graduated as a master of art. He later obtained a teaching qualification. In addition to his painting activity he also carries out engraving. Participation in painting exhibitions is very numerous and the main cities in which they took place are mentioned below: Milan, Rome, Florence, Caserta, Pescara, Sarzana, Torre Annunziata, Genoa, Saronno, Varese, Domodossola, Seregno, Monza, Lecce, Turin, Modena, Cremona, etc. and in 1973 London and Nottingham. Also for the graphics exhibitions, the main cities in which they took place are remembered: Milan, Sesto San Giovanni, Livorno, Gallarate, Florence, Reggio Emilia, Taranto, Cremona, Monza, Venice, Verona, Pesaro, Vicenza, Pescia, Arezzo, Iglesias , Sassari, Lecce, etc. and in 1957 in Sweden, receiving awards and recognition in some. Comi's works are present in numerous private collections in various Italian cities and in Canada, the United States of America, England, Switzerland and Poland. His works are also present in public collections of the Municipality of Monza, Milan, Saronno and at the "Columbian academy" of St. Louis - Missouri - USA
