Mauro Corbani was born in Soncino in 1952. From a young age he approached the world of painting and sculpture by frequenting the studios of established artists. Thanks to these meetings and his stays in cities of art, he began to exhibit his works in both personal and collective exhibitions. The association with gallery owners and art critics became very important for his artistic evolution.
Travel becomes his essential nourishment and the desire for "contamination" with the most diverse cultures pushes him to explore the West and the East. His travels took him to places such as the highlands of Cappadocia in Turkey, the oases of Morocco and Tunisia, Rajasthan in India, Mali in contact with the Dogon people, Thailand, Vietnam, Bali and Sri Lanka , the Yucatan and Cuba. Each place becomes a source of inspiration for his works, which convey the emotion of discovering different worlds.
Over the course of 40 years of artistic activity, Mauro Corbani has continued to exhibit his works in various exhibitions and workshops in Italy and around the world, continuing to seek new forms of expression and communication. His works represent an invitation to discover the souls of the world beyond the walls and trenches, through colours, shapes and symbols that recall the sensations and emotions of the journeys undertaken.
