Pierino Da Treviolo Biography
Pierino da Treviolo, just twenty years old, attended the Carrara Academy in Bergamo as an auditor, where he had access to the true and unique basis of every artist, namely drawing. Thanks to his mother's stimulation, Pierino decides to dedicate himself to the artistic profession and subsequently attends the art school of Guidizzolo - Mantua as a private student. In 1974 Pierino obtained the diploma of "Master of Art" with top marks.
After obtaining his diploma, Pierino began working mainly as a teacher in state schools, but also continued his artistic journey by organizing personal exhibitions and participating in group exhibitions in his city and beyond. The presidency of the Fantoni art school in Bergamo requires Pierino's precious collaboration as a life drawing teacher, where he remains until the end of the 1980s.
In November 1976, during his personal exhibition at the art gallery of Ponte S. Pietro Bergamo, Pierino met his future wife. In 1978 Pierino completed a masterful and impressive work of illustration of the "Promessi Sposi" at the invitation of the "Il Conventino" publishing house of Bergamo. He worked intensely on this project for more than three years, creating 33 oil on canvas works and over 20 pencil drawings.
In November 1982, Pierino's artistic maturation suffered a serious road accident. Pierino risks losing his sight, which is completely unacceptable for him, especially as an artist who expresses his whole being in his works. This dramatic event indelibly marks his spirit and his painting becomes even more meticulous in detail, creating masterful works in which Love and Hope are the dominant themes, even if addressed in the dramatic nature of the subjects depicted.
In December 1989, Pierino exhibited at the "Conventino" Cultural Center in Bergamo accompanied by his family which, in the meantime, had grown with a new member, his second daughter Irene born in November 1983. Pierino da Treviolo is a person esteemed and appreciated by everyone, in particular his family and the numerous students who have frequented his studio for several years.
