Gianfranco Fasce Artwork valuations, appraisals and auction estimates

The fifties mark the passing of the artist's first production characterized by a spontaneous adherence to post-impressionism and entirely dedicated to the rendering of lyrical suggestions in their harsh and grazing essentiality of the Ligurian landscape. The inclusion in the Milanese artistic life brings him around to 1950, and most likely due to the influence of his friends Cassinari and Birolli with results close to the positions of the abstract-concrete; with decidedly geometric works, he took part in a collective exhibition of Genoese artists organized by the Galleria Numero in Florence in December 1951. Gianfranco Fasce Biography

But soon his more intimate vein, well attributable to the notion identified by Roberto Tassi of "naturalism of essence" allows him in the two exhibitions staged at the Milione in 1954-55 presented by M.Valsecchi, to find new actualities in connecting to the experiences of "Po Valley naturalism".
