Carlo Franchi Biography
Carlo Massimo Franchi was born in Pavia in 1961, but currently lives in Novara. After graduating from the Brera Academy, he began dedicating himself to his artistic career from the mid-1980s. During his career at the Academy, Carlo had the opportunity to meet the maestro Salvatore Fiume, of whom he became a student. The influence of Fiume is reflected in the young artist's first works, the cycle of Mediterranean Women, in which he represents sensual female figures with an oriental style.
As the years passed, his artistic style developed into a painting with bright and bright colors, represented on a two-dimensional surface. In the period following the women, his style evolved into a painting characterized by bright and bright colors, spread flat on the canvas. In addition to numerous commissions, he created the Kaleidos cycle, which combines cubist derivations and homages to the linearity and perfection of the Greek profile. His art has found a large audience of appreciation in the United States, where he has exhibited his works in several prestigious galleries, from San Francisco to Los Angeles to Las Vegas and California. In 2007, he also participated in the Italian pavilion of the Index in Dubai.
His artistic production boasts a large number of commissions, ranging from the Middle East to the Sultan of Brunei. His career has been enriched by around 150 personal exhibitions, in cities such as Palermo, Milan, Florence, Naples and Rome. In recent years, the artist has combined his artistic skills with interior design, creating numerous significant interventions such as the Lido Excelsior Palace Presidential Suite in Venice (2012), the Varlese Cassino Area (2012) and the Setemes Gio' dello restaurant Zelig in Milan (2013).
His work has also been used for theater productions and television broadcasts, such as the scenography for the XFACTOR broadcast in 2013. Carlo Massimo Franchi has proven to be a versatile artist, capable of merging the world of painting with that of interior design and television sets.
