Pawel Grunert Biography
Paweł Grunert, born in 1965 in Warsaw, is a designer, creator of artistic furniture and sculptor. He completed his studies at the Department of Interior Design of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1990 he graduated with an honorable mention for his work entitled "My Chair". His objects are halfway between sculpture and applied art, using natural materials such as branches, straw, earth, grass, hay, reeds and wood, but also bricks, fabrics and metals. He designed and created approximately two hundred sculptures, spatial compositions and furniture, whose works are present in private collections and museums both at home and abroad. His works have been published in books, magazines and websites. Paweł began exhibiting in 1988, participating in a collective painting exhibition entitled "Arsenal". He has also held several important solo exhibitions, including "Dom" in 1993, "Obiekty" in 1995, "Show at a Factory" in 1997, "Furniturarium 1" in 2002 and "Galeria Opera" in 2003.
