Theodore Antoine Louis Jourdan (Salon-de-Provence, 29 July 1833 - Marseille, 3 January 1908) was a French painter. A student at the School of Fine Arts of Marseille, Theodore Jourdan completed his studies in the workshop of Emile Loubon in Paris. He mainly paints sites in Provence and in particular pastoral scenes where the representation of the local Merino breed from Arles dominates. He made his debut at the Marseille Exhibition of 1859 with a visit to Nazareth. He then exhibited at the Salon des artistes from 1865. He received a gold medal at the Sydney International Exhibition. He taught at the School of Fine Arts in Marseille from 1874 to 1903. He bequeathed to his hometown, Salon-de-Provence nineteen large canvases and numerous drawings in exchange for a lifetime pension to be paid to his widow: these paintings are exhibited in a room that bears his name in the Salon and Crau museum.
