Le Bertetti Artwork valuations, appraisals and auction estimates

Clelia Bertetti was born in 1932 and, after completing her work experience at the famous "Lenci" ceramic factory, which lasted about 5 years and during which she also held the role of manager of the retouching department, she decided to open, together with Piero Ducato, an artistic ceramic workshop called "Le Bertetti" in via Alpignano 16 in Turin.
The factory, whose initial logo was made up of the letters LeB, specialized in the mass production of high quality and remarkably elegant objects, made mainly in earthenware and terracotta, often by casting. These objects were very similar to the products created by the Lenci factory and responded to the aesthetic tastes of the time.
In addition to mass production, interesting one-off pieces were also created within the manufacturing laboratories, often by Clelia Bertetti herself. Read the full biography

Le Bertetti Biography

These unique pieces contributed significantly to the artistic offering of the manufactory.
In 1942, Clelia Bertetti abandoned the artistic direction of the factory, which was sold to third parties who continued production for over ten years while maintaining the same name. Subsequently, Clelia Bertetti decided to abandon the craft activity to dedicate herself exclusively to sculpture.
Within the manufacture's production, various objects often had a production number. In particular, ceramics with a number lower than 100 are generally attributable to the founder of the company.
