Piero Leddi (San Sebastiano Curone, 30 August 1930 – 4 June 2016) was an Italian painter. Born in a town in the province of Alessandria, the artist learned the techniques of working with materials from his carpenter father and other artisan relatives, while his relationship with the land and agriculture are linked to his maternal family. After moving to Tortona he began his approach to painting, influenced by Mario Patri from Tortona. In Milan since 1951, he first dedicated himself to the activity of an advertising graphic designer, experimenting with his own means of expression and coming into contact with the Brera environment. Since the 1950s, his work has been the subject of interest from critics such as Mario De Micheli and Raffaele De Grada, who presented some of his first solo exhibitions in 1959 and 1964 respectively, then following his production carefully. Numerous solo and very numerous group exhibitions have recorded his participation, including the National Art Biennial of the City of Milan (in 1972, 1974, 1984, 1987, 1989, 1993).
