Luca Lischetti Biography

Luca Lischetti was born in Laveno M. in 1950 and, self-taught, began his artistic career in the early 1970s. In 1970 he held a solo exhibition at the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, presented by GF Maffina, and his work focused on the human figure, distorted by reality. His characters are grotesque and ironic figures and the figure of the judge has a symbolic value. In 1978 he was invited to the painting exhibition at Palazzo Pretorio in Poggibonsi (SI) with a large work from the series "Nel Teatrino di Hans". He received a purchase prize at the 10th Edition of the City of Gallarate Prize at the Civic Gallery of Modern Art organized by Silvio Zanella. He collaborated with Bluart of Varese with personal and collective exhibitions and with San Michele of Brescia. In 1980 he began research with wood and developed a series of bas-reliefs which he entitled "Message for an Autobiography", which he presented at the Diarcon in Milan and at the Galleria Guelfi in Verona. In the early 1980s, he exhibited at the Woodstock Gallery in London with the solo exhibition "Alla Ricerca di Amelia Earhart" and, in Mantua, at Maurizio Corraini. In the mid-1980s, he developed a series of fiberglass works entitled "Gli Allegri Funamboli", which he exhibited at the Civica Raccolta di Terraglia in Cerro di Laveno (VA), presented by Luciano Gallina. In the 1990s, Riccardo Barletta promoted the series of his works on Africa.
