Gian Emilio Malerba was an Italian painter born in Milan in 1880 and passed away in the same city in 1926. He studied at the Brera Academy with teachers Tallone and Mentessi and made his debut in the art world in 1906 with an exhibition at the same Academy. His early works showed the influence of the Lombard Scapigliatura, but over the years his art evolved towards more defined and structured compositions.
