Pier Paolo Nudi Biography
Pier Paolo Nudi was born in Rende in 1971. Since childhood, he developed a passion for art, drawing landscapes and house interiors. His artistic talents were noticed by Giovanni Apreda, a family friend who was a painter and drawing teacher in Cosenza. Apreda became a source of inspiration for the young artist, guiding him in his artistic curiosity.
Despite his love for art, Nudi decided to attend high school to study mathematics. In 1992 he enrolled in the faculty of Statistical Sciences, graduating in 1998. During his university years, he had the opportunity to travel and experiment with different types of art, including Bodypainting in 1994.
Meanwhile, Nudi began to exhibit in various art exhibitions in Calabria. In 1994-1995 he carried out his military service. During these years, his life experiences influenced his art. In 1999 he met the sculptor Francesco Bitonti and the iconographer Stefano Armakolas, with whom he collaborated on artistic research on introspection and signed the manifesto "Artistic Introspectionism" in 2008.
Over time, Nudi began to explore new art forms. He created the "Gente Comune" and "Introspezioni" collections, abandoning the rural landscape. In the new millennium, he studied the work of artists such as Frank Stella, Enrico Castellani, Robert Rauschenberg, Joseph Kosuth and Bruce Nauman, who influenced him in the creation of his works.
In 2009 he wrote an essay on "Multivariarte" and moved from mixed techniques to everted canvases in the "Dimensionale Multiplo 3d" collection. In 2010, his work "Multivari Segments" became part of the collection of the Monreale Museum. Nudi has been an academic of the Accademia Angelica Costantiniana in Rome since 2008.
Nudi's works are present in collections and private collections in Italy and abroad. Currently, he is engaged in conceptual art research and experiments.
