Alessandra Odoni Biography
Alessandra Senso Odoni was born in Bergamo in 1978. She developed her artistic training through graffiti and street art in the late 90s. While studying at the Liceo Artistico in Bergamo, he initiated a dialogue with local institutions to find spaces for mural arts for himself and his peers. Thus was born "Tracce Urbane", an ongoing project in Bergamo. In 2001 he graduated from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts in Milan and spent a year studying in Budapest. She was selected for the Advanced Visual Arts Course of the Antonio Ratti Foundation in Como, curated by Giacinto di Pietrantonio and Angela Vettese.
During his nine years in Milan, he participated in events, conferences and exhibitions in Italy and Europe and worked for companies such as Budweiser, Fiat, Raitunes, Amica Magazine, La Rinascente, Adidas and Diadora. In 2006 he participated in the "Street Art Sweet Art" exhibition at the PAC in Milan with a live painting. In 2008 he exhibited at "Scala Mercalli, the earthquake of Italian street art" at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, curated by Gianluca Marziani.
Since 2007 he has been working on his personal project, which involves the production of paintings and performances in abandoned spaces. "Acme", "Reality" and "Cycle Age Dinamo Fitness" are three site-specific works that earned her the selection and publication as a finalist artist of the Terna International Award 01-03 and of the Eco Art Project 2010.
In 2011 he moved his studio to Berlin. In October 2013 he participated in the international Street Art exhibition "La Tour Paris 13" in Paris. In February 2015 he brought the concept of the "Walls of Milan" exhibition to Berlin, with 11 Italian street artists and a photographic exhibition that portrays the Milanese urban scene in one of the most important historical and underground galleries in the city: the Neurotitan Gallery.
In May 2016 the social enterprise "HG80" commissioned her to create the first large-scale urban art work performed on a blind facade of a residential building in Bergamo. In July 2017, art historian Jürgen Fisher and artistic director of the Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven commissioned her, together with Caro Eickhoff (guide and street art expert based in Berlin), to curate a collective exhibition of only mural and installation interventions inside the Kunsthalle, entitled "Ungeniert/engagiert - Kunst aus den Straßen Berlins".
