Manlio Onorato Biography
Manlio Onorato (1951 - ), born in Castel Morrone (Caserta) in 1951, held his first solo exhibition in 1973, arriving in 1983, after figurative debuts, at an aniconic painting whose dominant character is the rich modulation of light. He has held numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad, including solo exhibitions in Venice at the Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation in 1986, in Vicenza at San Giacomo in 1984 and 1989, at the Linea 70 gallery in 1984 and 1989, in Padua at La Chiocciola gallery in 1991, in Castelfranco Veneto (TV) at the Casa di Giorgione in 1992, in Milan in the A and Z galleries in 1992 and Scoglio di Quarto in 2007, at Palazzo Chigi in Viterbo (curated by the Miralli gallery) in 2008, in Gorizia at the "La Bottega" gallery in 2004 and 2014, at the Vivere l'Arte cultural center in Thiene (VI) in 2013 and 2016, at the Frankfurter Westend Galerie in Frankfurt (Germany) in 2002, 2008 and 2012, as well as the group exhibitions “Arie Italiane” at the Polhammer gallery in Steyr (Austria) in '93, “Conversations in the form of painting” at Palazzo Pisani in Lonigo (VI) in '96, “Light beyond form” at the Ai Molini civic gallery in Portogruaro (VE), at the Peccolo galleries in Livorno, Folini in Chiasso (Switzerland), Clocchiatti in Udine and at the Casabianca Museum in Malo (VI) in 2004/2005, "La materia del colore" at the Galleria Comunale of Monfalcone in 2014 and at the Frankfurter Westend Galerie in Frankfurt (Germany) in 2005, 2010, 2014 and 2016.
