Tullio Pericoli Biography
Pericoli Tullio (Colli del Tronto, 1936) Tullio Pericoli established himself as a painter and designer in Milan and from the 70s began to collaborate for some magazines, such as "Corriere della Sera", "Linus", "L'Espresso" and exhibited his works in Milan, Parma, Urbino. Subsequently, the artist's solo exhibitions continued in Milan, Paris, Munich and in 1993 he received the Gulbransson Prize from the Olaf Gulbransson Museum in Tegernsee. In 1995 he also approached the theatre, taking care of the direction, scenes and staging of many shows at La Scala in Milan, the Teatro Studio in Milan and the Opernhaus in Zurich. He held several exhibitions in places such as the National Museum of Palazzo Venezia in Rome, Galleria Ceribellii in Bergamo, Oscar Wilde House in Dublin. In 2009 the Osvaldo Licini Contemporary Art Gallery in Ascoli Piceno dedicated an anthological exhibition to him entitled “Sedendo e mirando” and in 2010 he exhibited his landscapes and portraits in the exhibition “Features, face and landscape” at the Ara Pacis Museum in Rome. One of his latest exhibitions, “The landscapes of Tullio Pericoli”, was presented in Tokyo at the Italian Cultural Institute in May 2016.
