Nicolò Poggi (Albisola, 1865 – Albisola, 1915) was an Italian ceramist.
He studied at the Albertina Academy It is in the 1889, together with his brother Antonio, he takes possession of the Albissola ceramics factory "Maria Rosciano widow Poggi & sons". With the Turin painter Luigi Quaglino[1] he transformed it into "Quaglino & Poggi", a company producing stylish vases and plates Liberty[2] and ceases in 1902, when Poggi starts his own business.[3]. In the 1905 buys the "Quinzio & Canepa" factory Sampierdarena. In its manufacture, they worked Dario Ravano And Pietro Rabbia. Poggi was considered by his contemporaries, not only to be the main ceramic manufacturer of Albissola, but also "a good sailor".[4]
The municipality of Albissola Marina named a small square in the historic center after Poggi.[5]
