Romano Rizzato Biography
Romano Rizzato was born in Milan in 1936. He dedicated himself to editorial and educational graphics before broadening his interest to the visual language of painting, focusing the idea as an "attempt" to achieve the objective of a work in the field of art and to create a visual language. This idea was developed thanks to his meeting with the painter Mario Radice. His research focuses on mathematical and geometric shapes and their application in visual communication.
In 1973, Rizzato was invited by the English painter Donald Mills to participate in the Work-Group for Constructive Art in Antwerpen-Bonn. In 1993, he was invited to the XII Quadrennial in Rome, although he did not participate in the event. Furthermore, he was invited to the "30 Jare, Gedenke derQuelle, venn du trinkst" at Museum Ludwig in Saarlouis, Germany.
Rizzato has exhibited his works in various locations around the world, including Switzerland, Holland, France, Germany, Bulgaria, Austria, Venezuela and Japan.
