Tiziano Sgarbossa Biography
Tiziano Sgarbossa was born in Cittadella in 1972 and began his career in the art world in 1986, thanks to his work experience in the family's artistic ceramics laboratory. His father Antonio, sculptor and painter, plays the role of mentor, guiding his son in the basics of modeling. After a period of apprenticeship, Sgarbossa dedicated himself to the design of ceramic furnishing accessories for Italian and foreign companies, thus developing his aptitude towards three-dimensional concepts.
In 1998, Sgarbossa opened the "Rosà Arte" gallery and continued his modeling activity in the back room, while organizing events and personal exhibitions of various artists in the exhibition rooms. In this artisanal context, where pictorial art and matter meet, the idea and desire to transfer shapes and volumes from clay to canvas was born.
In 2000, Sgarbossa began his first research on techniques and materials for the creation of three-dimensional works on canvas. Over time, Sgarbossa optimized his working methodology, creating a particular technique called "extrusion on canvas", in which the subjects are created from protrusions and recesses in the surface that create plays of shadows.
More recently, Sgarbossa has developed a new technique for creating works in "laser-cut steel". His valuable works are today requested by collectors and customers who are particularly attentive to new artistic languages.
Currently, Tiziano Sgarbossa collaborates with art galleries and architecture studios, consolidating his presence in the artistic field and consolidating his notoriety.
