He sustains his significant exhibition test in 1959 at the Appia Antica in Rome, in a collective exhibition entitled Mambor, Schifano, Tacchi. In 1962 he met Plinio De Martiis, founder and curator of the Galleria La Tartaruga in Rome, who in February 1963 he included in the collection of the 13 painters of Rome. The first personal exhibition of Cesare Tacchi's drawings dates back to 1965, when the artist was one of the exponents of Roman pop art together with Tano Festa, Mario Schifano, Franco Angeli, Giosetta Fioroni, Jannis Kounellis, Pino Pascali, Sergio Lombardo, Renato Mambo Mario Ceroli. In 1967 he took part in the group exhibition "Arte Povera e Im-Spazio" curated by Germano Celant at the La Bertesca gallery in Genoa and at the Festival dei Mondi in Spoleto. He holds numerous exhibitions, including personal exhibitions at the Mana Art Market Gallery in Rome in 1970, at the Schema Gallery in Florence in 1972, and the group shows Amore mio at Palazzo Ricci in Montepulciano in 1970 and Vitality of the negative in Italian art 1960/70 , curated by Achille Bonito Oliva at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome. In some subsequent exhibitions he experiments with different ways of relating between artist, work and recipients. In 1995 the Museo Laboratorio di Arte Contemporanea of the University of Rome La Sapienza dedicated the exhibition Sécrétaire to him, curated by Alessandro Masi. Over the course of nineteen and twenty thousand years his works have been exhibited in a series of personal exhibitions and in the context of some historic events, including "Beyond the painting" curated by Maurizio Calvesi at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome in 1990.
