Marco Tamburro Biography

Tamburro Marco (Perugia, 1974) Marco Tamburro graduated in Architecture and Furniture at the Art Institute of Perugia and in 1994 moved to Milan, where he attended the Scenography course at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. In Milan he approached set designers and photographers, due to his passion for theatrical spaces, for which he imagined large pictorial panels. Tamburro reflects on the great potential of the pictorial form, capable of connecting with different artistic means such as photography, furniture, theatre, architecture. In Milan he exhibited his works for the first time in galleries and alternative spaces, and then moved to Rome, where he collaborated with various theater companies, founding a cultural association of visual arts. In 1999 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome. In Rome he was able to fully develop his artistic abilities and make himself known through participation in many group exhibitions and through meetings with important critics and gallery owners. In his works the artist reflects on daily life and the depersonalization of human beings due to the frenetic pace of the city. The human figure occupies a marginal place in his paintings, "crushed" by the enormous buildings of the metropolis in which he lives, a symbol of power. He soon began to exhibit at the Venice Biennale, Macro in Rome, Palazzo Penna in Perugia, Castel dell'ovo in Naples, Frisacco in Udine and abroad he exhibited in Miami, New York, China, London, Berlin, Munich.
