A brown glazed monochrome pottery jar Cambodia, Khmer period (802-1431), 13th century
Container for liquids in the form of a bottle, covered by a dark brown monochrome glaze baring the foot. The elongated body has four suspension loops near the junction of the neck. This type of artifact is attributable to the Cambodian fictile production of the 12th-13th century, known for the polished leather-colored glaze that leaves the lower part uncovered.
