Vase for water (lota) of its classic form with globular body, cylindrical neck and everted mouth. The exterior is finely carved and divided into four registers separated by thin floral bands. On the base there are elephants, symbol of prosperity, among trees; the two central registers are filled with Yaksha and Yakshini, these being male and female spirits of the nature, intent in playful occupations such as songs and dances; the neck is instead reserved to fitomorfe decorations.
