A large Chandraketugarh terracotta vase India, West Bengal, Shunga period, 1st century b.C.- 1st century AD
Vase with globular body and long cylindrical stem, finely modeled with decoration arranged in six registers superimposed separated by thin bands containing small flowers similar to stars. The composition is cheerful and jovial, with a multitude of Yakshini immersed in nature, among vines, flowers and trees.
Missing base and mouth.
The lot has a TL test certificate.
