A Ghaznavid bronze pitcher with openwork decoration Eastern Iran, Khorasan, 11th - 12th century
Piccola brocca con corpo piriforme e terminazione a testa bovina stilizzata. Decorata con lavorazione centrale a giorno da cui emergono figure umane e animali entro riserve ovali sormontate dall'incisione riferita al Profeta. Su un fianco due leoni stilizzati affrontati, sull'altro fianco un'ansa ricurva con poggiadito rotto si innesta sulla base della testa zoomorfa che funge da versatoio.
