A Guanyin bronze figure China, Ming dynasty, 16th-17th century
A cast gilt bronze figure of Guanyin seated in padmasana and dressed with a sumptuous vest with floral engraved edges. In the left hand he holds a fruit while his right hand is in Karanamudra. The face shows polychrome pigments on mouth and eyes and the head supports the five pointed crown with Amitabha depictions.
