Polychrome painting on canvas, depicting the transcendent Buddha Amitayus, characterized by the reddish skin, and here in his canonical position: sitting in the padmasana position, the hands in the dhyanamudra position, holding the kalasa, the vial containing the elixir of long life. The figure is also enriched by a five pointed crown, flowing robes and precious jewels.
