"Capitello" is a column capitall, for Gufram, 70s. Structure in molded polyurethane foam.
Anticipating the experimentations of post-modernists such as Robert Venturi and Hans Hollein, the Capitello model totally denies the quality of the material it is made up of; its solidity is in fact only apparent, since it is an absolutely soft object. The prototype was made by Piero Gilardi, designer of numerous Gufram products.
