This Thangka probably portrays an earthly protector god named Drab-la. The painting is exquisitely made and the figures are extremely elegant, both the god and his ride. The god wears a lavish hackle made of peacock feathers, a large vest, a melong in the middle of his chest and holds offerings in his left hand. In his right hands he holds a magic wand. This major figure is surrounded by a complicated landscape and by ten other characters, among which there are Padmasambhava and Vajrapani (on the upper side of the Thangka); and Rahu Mahakala and Vajrasadhu (on the lower side).
