Study for the scenography of the first act of La vestale, by Etienne de Jouy and Gaspare Spontini, staged at the Teatro Comunale of Florence on the occasion of the I Maggio Fiorentino in 1933. Casorati's scenography was retained in the revival of La vestale messa in scene for the XXXIII Maggio Musicale of 1970
