Zulu - Sudafrica
Lance Zulu or Iklwa. Iron, hardwood and vegetable fiber. Signs of use and a fragment of collectible label.
Small size, as per Zulu tradition, this lance with forged iron blade ribbed in the center, inserted in a hard wood rod and secured with woven vegetable fibers, has the flag at the opposite end for recognition, carved in relief with oblique lines.
Interesting to relate this beautiful and very patina to the two photos of lot n. 28 of this auction.
