Military mace and rank insignia. Hardwood with natural patina, metal. Defects and signs of use.
Beautiful and ancient war club and Zulu rank sign, characterized by a small sharp knob in hard wood and eight orders of decorations in wire braided in the typical Zulu processing.
Time has oxidized the wire that has left black traces on the wood in conjunction with the decorations. This does not diminish the aesthetic value of this object, as well as the crack in the top, but rather testifies to its antiquity and prolonged use.
