Signed on the back and stamp of the foundry "Faruffini & Ottolina fusero Milano". On original pedestal in carved wood (120x32.5x32.5 cm).

The marble version of the "Lombard Woman" was exhibited in 1898 in Venice and then re-proposed at the exhibition of the Società Promotrice di Belle Arti of Turin in 1899, where it was purchased by the Municipality for the Museo Civico di Arte Moderna of the city. In 1910 Cassi made a copy of this marble which was successfully proposed at the Buenos Aires Exposition.
