Pair of floor lamps model Monachella, for Azucena, 50s (date of design: 1953)
The Monachella lamp takes its name from the headdress of the nuns, the reference does not stop only at the form, but we find it immediately in the lampshade slightly inclined downwards. Monachella was designed in 1953, precisely in the years in which Caccia Dominioni created the Convent and the Institute of the Blessed Virgin of Sorrows in Milan, the residence of a female religious order.
