Tibet. Large head ornament. Silver, turquoise, and coral (?) and pitch beads.
Large head ornament worn in the hair by married women in central Tibet, made of embossed silver framing a triangular turquoise stone of considerable size. As a corollary we find arranged in the four directions another eight turquoises and four brownish-red beads.
Fascinating object with minor visible flaws and signs of use.
