Franz Kline's works, starting from the 50s, are a marriage between minimalism and neutral colors. The works mainly contain two colors: black and white. However, Kline rejected this parallelism, as he did not work with black on a white ground, but repainted white with black and black with white, thus building his subjects step by step.
