Peru -Moche. Polychrome polychrome earthenware bottle in anthropomorphic form with an owl's head. 300-400 AD.
Bottle with stirrup handle and pourer. Engobed, polished and glazed earthenware in ochre to brown colours. Moulded decoration in the form of a kneeling individual with an owl mask (owl-priest). Wearing a tunic with 'Greek' decoration at the wrists and two cords that go around the shoulders and cross over the chest.
Provenance: ex-collection A. Luccioli, Foligno.
Present certificate of guarantee Hermes Arte Antica, Arezzo.
