Shiva Nataraja dances resting his right foot on the dwarf Apasmara Purusha (the personification of ignorance) prostrate on the ground on a lotus base, his left leg is elegantly raised; the figure is surrounded by a halo of Prabhamandala flames representing the infinite cycle of birth and death.
